Fatboy Amps Chubby Head #34 Boutique USA made 1994 80 w EL34 guitar head w/ footswitch

Here we have a rare bird of an amp..  Fatboy Chubby all tube 80 watt guitar amplifier head.  There isn't too much out there on the web about these amplifiers.  There is a tribute page that is where we are getting most of this info from.  Fatboy Amps was started in the 1990's in Chicago IL.   They made very few amplifiers.  This one is #34 and was possibly all hand built but the company's founder Norb Funk.  Info says a total of 167 Fatboy amps were built in total. The Chubby is a 2- channel all tube amplifier.  Channel one is a clean channel and has its roots in the British voiced territory.  Channel Two is the gain channel and has a very Bogner/Mesa vibe to our ears.  Gobs of gain on tap.   This amplifier is quite amazing sound wise.  You can get beautiful focused cleans with the ability to grit it up and get nasty.  The dirty channel can go from crunch to all out "modded Marshall" territory with ease.   This amp has just been gone over by our technician and was re-tubed with a quad of Tung-Sol EL34 tubes.  This amplifier is also loaded with tons of great features like Bright switches on each channel, DI out with level control, Effects loop with send and return level control, Class A/AB option, and ground switch.   The amp also comes with its original 2 button footswitch which controls the channel select and Effects loop bypass.   The build quality of this amplifier is top notch.  Our tech said that is was built like a tank.  Big iron on it too.  Transformer dates to 1994.  Cosmetically, the amp is in excellent condition.  Some light scuffs on some parts of the tolex but overall very clean. The handle is in great shape.  Some scuffs on the metal corners but nothing major at all.    Please see all photos for detailed condition.   If you are looking for a rare boutique USA made amplifier that can produce a good range of tones. this Fatboy Chubby might just be for you.  Also.... it is LOUD!!!!   It will peel the paint off your walls.   High gain players will love this head.    Thanks for looking and happy buying!
