1985 Fender American Vintage ’62 Reissue Stratocaster – Black – Rare Early Corona Example - All Original
This is a particularly rare early Corona-production example, dating from Fender’s historic transition following the closure of the Fullerton factory. It carries V009739 serial number, with an 11/13/85 body date and 12/27/85 neck date.
American Fender production during this transitional period was extremely limited compared with later years, making surviving, original 1985 Corona-built examples difficult to find today. Only a relatively small number of American Vintage reissue guitars were produced during Fender’s initial Corona ramp-up, and substantially fewer remain in original, unmodified condition nearly 40 years later.
This is a genuinely uncommon early American Vintage Strat from one of the most interesting periods in Fender history.
Includes original Fender tweed case.
