This is a vintage 1930s Epiphone Electar Model M lap steel. Nicknamed "Darth Steel" around the shop here, the Model M intended as the company's first deluxe steel guitar, and features a metal-faced wood body that is rumored to have been designed by Epi Staphopolo himself in the art deco tradition. It has a horseshoe pickup that was professionally rewound by Gemini Pickups. It is in very good shape with expected nicks, dings, and scuffs here and there. It plays great and sounds fantastic.
It has been professionally setup and comes with its original hardshell case, which has a broken handle.
