Built by the folks in Taylor’s Custom Shop in 2015, this Grand Orchestra body-style guitar has a European Spruce top and beautifully figured Amazon Rosewood back/sides.
1 3/4” nut. Standard 25 1/2” scale length. Antique chrome Gotoh 510 tuners. Tusq nut, Micarta saddle. Electronics (Expression System 2) work perfectly. Mother-of-Pearl Taylor headstock logo and diamond shaped fret inlays. 3 ring abalone rosette.
Buyer will be provided with the full spec sheet from when the guitar was built that outline all of the information above. Comes with original hard shell case.
No dents, scratches, dings, etc — I have only owned this guitar for a relatively short time (all credit to the previous owner for keeping it in such immaculate condition). The only thing I can point out is that there is some minor fret wear, however this guitar is very far away from needing any fret replacement work done.
Big, deep low end without muddying up any of that distinctive Taylor brightness on the high end. Makes for a wonderfully versatile (and loud) guitar, whose sound will only get better as it opens up further with age.
Will be sad to see this one go — only reason for selling is because the delivery of my own Custom Shop guitar (also a big bodied Taylor) is just a few months away.
