About This Listing

Before I get into this, she has a slight twist in the neck at the headstock end, this doesn't really affect playability when the guitar is set at a medium to medium low action, we have lowered the price to reflect this slight issue.

Here and nowhere else is quite a rare species of bird, extinct even!

A nice Gibson Hummingbird Replica, made by Suzuki Violin Company, Nagoya, Japan....

Certainly one of the better made versions of these copy-guitars, with the lacquered rosewood bridge and nice split marker inlays on the fretboard, the overall look is great with some weatherings perhaps forgivable for her age of half a century.

Being one of the very first versions of this classic guitar that the Japanese started to copy from the late 60's until the early 70's, it is an interesting, collectible piece, and a good investment for the low current value.

A so called 'lawsuit era' guitar made before Gibson 'suggested' that these designs were taking the proverbial a little too much! Hence the later models are not so interesting or desirable and more of those were made.

This seldom seen version with the rare label has all the great features pinched from old Gibson, and doing a much better job of it in my (only slightly) biased opinion, I am certain you shall agree!

∞ 'Open book' headstock

∞ Split marker MOP inlays

∞ Comfortable profiled neck, feels very authentic

∞ Classic tone with balanced low end and percussive mids + trebles

A great version of this iconic guitar without the silly price.

We have fully overhauled and set up this guitar to our usual high standards.

For the years the action is very good, low and guitar plays nicely regardless.

Please see the photo's for a description of this 60's styled sweetheart.

Priced on condition, rarity and work done, the original soft case is included, other cases available.

Enjoy!!
