I have owned this cool guitar for many many years. I have loved playing it but its time to find its next home. It had plenty of player wear before it came here. Love the wear under the arm area, but the original frets still have plenty of life left in them. The Silvertone logo is about gone on the headstock but you can still see it. All original and very cool. A lot of these have the white tape coming loose on the sides. This one still has its tape nice and tight. No mods on it and check out those original knobs. You can't find those anywhere!

What can you say about the Danelectro Lipstick Pickup that hasn't been said before. Big, bold, in your face, in charge... this one will not disappoint. Its full of tone and has all the volume you would expect! I especially like the placement of the pickup. With it not being completely back to the bridge or in the neck area, this pickup seems to be in the perfect spot. You can get all kinds of cool tones outta this Silvertone! This cool guitar even has the see thru pickguard. Those are always missing!!
The guitar has a 23 1/2 inch scale neck with the original aluminum nut measuring 1 11/16 inches. The guitar has new 10 guage strings on it with whisper low action. No frets outs or buzzing with this guitar. Jeff the Tech has always kept it set up perfectly for me over the years!

The guitar has original everything else from the aluminum nut, dome knobs, pickup white tolex side bindings, wiring, strap buttons and pickguard. With the original Soft Shell case, its quite the time capsule of the Rockin 60's!

The 1304 series of guitars were only offered in the Sears 'Wish Book' catalog, and sold very well, if today's collectors market is any indication. These mid-pickup'd guitars were an interesting 'hybrid', attempting to strike a balance between the lead position and closer-to-the-neck rhythm slot. This pickup placement was unique in the 'U' body series family, and retained the 'coke bottle' shaped headstock even as the 'dolphin nose' U-shaped 14XX series were offered.
