PRS Standard 24 Multi-Metal 1988 Multifoil

For sale is a 1988 PRS Multi-Metal (Multifoil). One of 12 made in 1988 in the Multi-Metal (Silver) shade. From what I can find, and I might be wrong, PRS made 48 Multifoils in total. 12 Blue, 12 Red, 12 Copper,  and 12 Silver (Metal). Regardless of the numbers, it's a limited run from 1988.

The guitar is in all original condition except the plastic. I have replaced all the Cavity Covers and the Pickup Rings with new PRS Stock. The old covers are included. The original pickup rings are missing and the Truss Rod Cover is not original either.

Pickups are labeled "B" and "T". The 5-way rotary blue switch is fully functional and clean sounding. The sweet switch and volume pot are untouched as well.

The original (only) owner played this guitar hard. There are multiple wear through areas on the body, neck, and headstock . While this finish has a reputation for being flakey this guitar has been worn through by years of shows and touring. There is a forearm wear mark on the lower bout, buckle rash just below the spring cavity cover, and a pick wear mark on the treble side of the treble pickup. The neck is worn on the bass and treble edges for most of the neck and there is a couple of heavy thumb wear marks as well in the center of the neck. This is an instrument to be proud of. It's obviously earned it's current state by showing it was owned by a player who depended on it and made it crush metal shows often.
