1968 Gretsch Catalog No. 33: 1968—who didn’t want a Gretsch guitar? If you weren’t into George Harrison’s tasty licks; Mr. Guitar, the Country Gentleman, Chet Atkins, was at the height of his unique playing style. I know I wanted one and spent a lot of time pouring over this catalog.

34 pages told me everything I needed to know about creating that Great Gretsch Sound for myself. There was the White Falcon, the Viking, the Chet Atkins models, long and short scale basses, tube and solid-state amps, solid body Jets, acoustics, accessories—it’s all here.

The catalog is in VERY GOOD condition. The front and back covers have yellowed slightly, but the colors are vibrant. There’s some wear on the edges. No tears or creases. The interior pages are very clear, including the dazzling and dizzying psychedelic graphics that are sprinkled thru’out the catalog—it was 1968 after all. This is a fine example of a catalog from one of many Golden Ages of Gretsch.
