This unit was purchased second-hand from an amateur builder and is a bit noisy. I do not know enough to diagnose the source of the noise. The unit is cosmetically perfect and functions as expected - there is just a bit of visible noise in the signal.

As described by Syntonie: Quad frequency doubler: each stage double the signal frequency and are chained together to multiply the signal at the input by 16. Switching jacks allow to break the connection between each stage to use them individually.
