Hofner 500/1 '60 Cavern Model Bass/Left-handed 1990's Shaded Brown

Body and neck were shipped from Germany to the States in the early 90's where it was assembled specifically for me. The control panel, and rugby ball tuners are original components from 1960. The pick-ups have been reconfigured with reissues. The photos show both pick-ups in place but only the neck pick-up is installed even though the photos show both in place. You will have to install the middle pick-up yourself but this gives you the option of placing it where you want. Again, ONLY THE NECK PICK-UP IS INSTALLED. The rest are factory reissue. There are a few finish flaws that I tried to highlight in the pictures. The neck angle is very nice giving the bass low action and great playability. The top is pressed with the back having no center seam. Intonation is very close to spot-on but it can be fine-tuned if your ears detect a variation. I will only ship to the lower 48 States so please don't ask for an exception. Shipping and insurance are included in the price.
