About This Listing

Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting...

A beautiful 1968 Teisco May Queen, made in Japan Electric Guitar. This guitar is mostly original and it plays and sounds great! These guitars were only made one year in 1968...they were so iconic and RARE they even reissued them in 1999. This one is the real deal from 1968...

Be sure to check out the video demo for this historic guitar!

Besides setting it up great with low playing action, this guitar looks beautiful. All original parts. The Iconic Teisco May Queen embossed Pickguard is in great shape. The single F Hole Hollow body is in great shape with no crack. The only malady I could find it the crack on the lamination of the headstock. Pretty common break. They made these guitars by gluing the sides of the Headstock to the neck. Given a bang, they would come off. Its solid so we left it along. See pics 7 and 8 ... only minor dings beyond that on this cool guitar. Check those pics!

The Teisco Pickups sounds great and this little guitar sounds much bigger than it looks. It weighs only 5 1/2 pounds but it sounds Heavyweight!! I have it strung up with new 10's for easy play and bending. The Three way switch is working as they should. The two knobs activate volume and tone. The guitar has a 24 ¾ inch scale neck measured from the zero fret and the nut measures 1 11/16 inches. Nice C profile makes this guitar play great!

Mostly original parts it appears that the whammy bar may have been replaced as were the tuners. There were some additional tuner holes that we filled .. the frets have had plenty of play on them. They are pretty low but still effective. If playing Professionally, I would have them refretted. Otherwise, they would last my lifetime!

The pickups sound great. I am always amazed at the tone of these Made in Japan Pickups. Very toneful and very loud!

I sell a lot of these cool Made in Japan Guitars... Most are buying them as a reminder of the one they used to have, but these are also made to be played. I enjoy them a lot.

Check out the original case with this one...Its in good shape..All latches, hinges and original handle are present and working properly.  The accessory box is still with this old timer. Try to find an original case for these...impossible!! Great to have it with this guitar!

Now this guitar is uber cool but old and vintage so it is sold as-is no returns..thanks for respecting that!

Please check our our cool vintage guitars, amps and guitar parts!

Please check out our over 500 video demos we did for our Lawman Guitars YouTube Channel!
