Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster Heavy Relic Olympic White

This Fender Custom Shop 1960 Relic Stratocaster, here in Aged Olympic White finish with Heavy Relic, has the familiar, comfortable feel of a guitar that has seen its fair share of use whilst delivering the classic vintage Fender tones of a 50 year old instrument. Coupled with a handful of contemporary features, you have a combination that’s hard to beat.

This 1960 Strat features a select, lightweight two piece Alder Custom Picked body that proudly wears an expertly aged Relic Nitro Cellulose finish. This is coupled to a Custom Picked maple plain grain neck featuring a period-correct Oval ‘C’ profile. The Indian Rosewood fretboard features a modern 9.5” radius and is equipped with 21 Medium Jumbo frets for easy string bending and vibrato.

The 3 ply Mint Green pickguard is home to a trio of Custom Shop 60/63 single coil pickups with the middle one being reverse wound/ reverse polarity for reduced hum in positions 2 and 4. These are wired through a 5 way selector switch, master volume and two tone controls featuring a Tone- Saver Treble Bleed circuit to allow crisp trebles at all volume levels.

The carefully aged hardware consists of an American Vintage Synchronized tremolo bridge, Vintage style, Fender logo tuners and a wing string tree.

Completing the package, the Custom Shop 1960 Relic Strat ships with a Deluxe hard shell case, and a Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity.
