Good condition, one small rust spot on the bottom, transport seems snappy, heads look clean, guaranteed not defective on arrival, otherwise sold "AS IS" due to age. Show signs of use, light wear and scratches on the top. If you are really interested in purchasing this, I can work on some closeups of the heads and any other testing that you would like me to do.
This deck has amazing specs.

3 motors & 2 Heads (Record/Playback, Erase)
Includes a fine bias control.
The buttons are logic controls. Super responsive and fast.
Records with brilliant clarity, making Chrome/Metal tapes almost unnecessary. I have been using TDK-D Type I tapes for my Sony Walkman and the warmth, detail and sound reproduction are unbelievable.
My 2 cents on 2-Head vs 3-Head
I have had 2-Head and 3-Head decks over the years. 3-Head decks are nice when you want to monitor the recording levels of the tape during the recording process. This is not a mandatory feature. The DR-3 has a 20-20,000Hz frequency response with 2 heads. It will record and play back cassettes with quality that rivals any cassette deck.
Summary
The DR-3 is a 2-Head, 3 motor cassette deck with a 20-20,000Hz frequency response and less than 0.06% WTD RMS wow and flutter. The deck is not loaded with unnecessary bells and whistles. The playback and recording capability rivals most high-end cassette decks.
