For Sale
: 2004 Taylor 315-CE-L7 Limited Edition with Tasmanian Blackwood (Koa) back and sides. This is a very rare guitar, with only 34 made. Taylor has not made a lot of jumbo-style guitars, and this being a limited edition it is even more special.

History: I am the original owner and purchased this in New Hampshire in 2004. I’ve gigged with it extensively, but not in the past 10 years (since my son was born). It is a incredible sounding guitar, it is bright like many mid-2000’s Taylor's, but has a nice rounded low end to mellow it out.

Sound: My best explanation is the sound is “Scooped” with not a lot of midrange but rounded lows and sparking highs. It’s a great flat-picking guitar but may not have the midrange to be a great finger-picking instrument. Mic’ed up in the studio you would think you are recording a vintage Gibson J-200…it sounds THAT good in the studio! Being a jumbo, it’s also quite loud even without the electronics.

Electronics: It has the original expression system 1.0. **I would assume some of the pots for the exp system would need cleaning after not being used for so long.

Condition: “Very good” for a 18 year old gigged guitar. It has been well cared for. There is nothing I would consider “damage”. It has a small share of minor blemishes that I can detail for any potential buyer…they will be hard to show in photos, but it still looks and plays great! OHSC included.

Why I’m Selling: I just don’t play it anymore. It’s a big guitar, and I’m a small guy so I’ve gotten used to playing my other smaller acoustics.

I would prefer a local buyer (Boston/New England), and am more willing to negotiate on a local sale w/o needing to ship the guitar. Thanks!

Product Overview
As with the rest of the 300 Series, the Taylor 315ce Jumbo acoustic-electric guitar boasts solid sapele back and sides along with a sitka spruce top for tonal versatility. The 315ce's jumbo size gives you big, booming lows that fill out your tone and bright, crisp highs that can really make your leads stand out. Older 315ce models sport the side-mounted Fishman electronics system to amplify your sound, while guitars produced after the mid-2000s have Taylor's own Expression System 2.
