Player's grade vintage Pro Deluxe Model up for grabs. These Pro Deluxes were made from 76'-82', featured an Ebony fretboard on a maple neck and Gibson P90 pickups.
This guitar has a ton of mojo, as evidenced by its playwear. The frets are pretty worn down and flat, I'm not gonna lie. It does still play in tune with minimal buzzing with its action currently set low.
It could probably could benefit from a refret in the near future.
*It also has one cosmetic issue, as shown in pics. Long story short, some moron decided to drill several random holes very crudely (perhaps using a knife) in the top, perhaps for a B5 Bigsby. I was able to cover them with a B7 bigsby (with no additional holes using a vibramate bracket ), but I opted out for a stock tail piece.
I filled the holes with dowls and woodfiller, and had a luthier touch up the gold paint and drop fill the lacquer and buff it out smooth. The touch up job is quite visible, but doesn't catch the eye from afar. It looks and feels a lot better than it did with the holes in it, trust me. As I mentioned they can be completely covered with a B7 Bigsby...
I also replaced the butchered bridge it formerly had with a nice new nickel Tonepros AVR-1 locking bridge.
The maple neck has a very comfortable tapered C profile, and is very clean and smooth on its backside.
Back of body is a gorgeous 1 piece mahogany slab with nice linear wood grain, free of divots an very minimal belt buckle rash.
Back of headstock is stamped SECOND. Nobody cares about this at this point on a guitar this old.
It's got is battlescars, light scratches on it's gold top and is meant to be a total workhorse les Paul that deserves to be played.
The neck pickup sounds like a million bucks.
Comes with a new Epiphone Les Paul hardshell case.
