Sound tube amplifier City 50 Plus L50 Combo from the 70s
A rare amplifier, hard to find one! The amplifier Sound City 50 Plus is positioned within this 4 × 12 + headboard combo Inside the case there are 2 Fane 122190 speakers as you can see. When I first opened it, I wondered if it was originally been 4 × 12, but the original catalog states that it was always a 2 × 12. For all of you Sound City fans, this is one of the rarest. It is in excellent condition condition with some scratches on the tolex. The original Partridge transformers they sound great and has 2 EL34 tubes in the power section that They work well.
The amplifier was checked by a very good vintage amp technician and it works perfectly without hum or other background noise.
A couple have been added of Fane speakers and the amp sounds great, maybe better than before but they can be removed with little work and restored to their original condition.
For shipping contact me because it is a complicated transport and it is better to disassemble the amp and ship the head, tubes and combo separately so the cost will be a bit high
