What a great and versatile tone machine! See video demo of same model guitar. Really great combination of features that provide a very different playing experience. First off is although this appears to mimic Fender products, the scale length is Gibson like at 24 3/4". Neck profile is more Fender though and very much like 60's Stratocaster feel. Tuners are upgraded with Schaller vintage strat style and work great.
Then again the frets are more jumbo Gibson style! Very little fret wear is present and neck is straight providing buzz free action even with action set to .070-.080 measured at 12th fret. Jaguar style trem bridge works surprisingly well and guitar stays in tune with moderate use of whammy bar; best for subtle vibrato washes.
Body is all Fender and it does have seem finish wear and weather checks on back as shown in pictures. No cracks or significant dents though; just a nice vintage relic look. Electronics are really the highlight of this guitar. Dual single coils provide a tone very reminiscent of a Fender Telecaster. Very nice balanced tone with neck pickup, middle pickup a bit more twang and bridge pickup very similiar to Telecaster.
Controls are single volume, single tone and 3 way pickup switch (ala Gibson again!). Also included is a 3 position tone enhancement filter switch. Somewhat unique in that its wired to be most noticeable when tone pot is at lowest setting.
The headstock badge is missing but likely is an Aria brand or could be Lyle or Epiphone. Guitar is fairly lightweight at 7lbs 6 oz. and will come with a padded gig bag.
