For stereo mastering, the Fostex E-22 is a high quality 2-track machine with a third centre SMPTE timecode track, offering stereo recording and playback at 15 or 30 ips on ½inch tape.
This very rare machine has had the same owner for the last 18 years. It was purchased as studio backup for a Studer A80 and has therefore had very little usage. This E-22 is in wonderful cosmetic and working condition and despite its age, is only missing the bottom line-up plate. While the machine is photographed with used tape, it will actually be supplied with a brand new sealed reel of Quantegy 499 Grand Master Gold.
During the last 5 years, this E-22 has been carefully stored and will therefore require a routine service and line-up prior to professional use. Please also note that due to the size and weight of the machine, it is only available for collection.
