Super aggressive "Xiphos" shape! Now available as a spot production item!

The "Xiphos" model is an Ibanez original shape.
This model is truly for the metal only, both in looks and sound.

The body is made of Okume wood.
This wood is rich in warm mid and low frequency range similar to mahogany.

The neck is made of maple and walnut with a 5-piece through-neck joint.
The neck joint is smoothly molded for better playability in the high position.
The fingerboard is made of ebony and features quick note rise and rich sustain.
Light-storing fingerboard side position inlays make it easy to see the position even on a dark stage.

The key to the sound is the DiMarzio D-Activator-7 pickups.
Even though it is a passive pickup, it has high output and produces a tight bass sound without sound blurring.
It features a clear, contoured treble sound.
Even when distorted, the 7-string and overall sound is not muffled, allowing you to enjoy a tight sound. The picking nuance is also reflected accurately and can be freely manipulated for expression.

The bridge is equipped with an Edge-Zero II tremolo.
This tremolo system boasts high tuning stability even with heavy arm playing.
The low profile design of the unit itself does not interfere with picking.
