Spalt TOTEM-X.2 (Austria) w/ T.V. Jones & Fralin Humbucker

Bob's Guitars has recently obtained an exceptional electric guitar from the continent of Europe - a Spalt Totem-X.2 from the Totem-X.2 Series - ten guitars that share the same specifications and wood recipes, hand made in Vienna Austria by master luthier/artist Michael Spalt, each topped with different artistic collages fashioned from reclaimed woods.

The top of this guitar (number 10 - the last in the Series) features an aesthetically-engaging assemblage of woods, colors, and textures, the likes of which would make Kurt Schwitters, Man Ray, and Robert Rauschenberg smile in appreciation. The design is artful and sensitive, and invites the eye to return to its atmosphere over and over. As a musical instrument it possesses the same brilliant rendering as all of Spalt's guitars (many of which are triple-and-then-some the cost of this instrument), and offers the player an experience typified by a highly musical character and a deep 'keep playing me' vibe. Player, collector, or both, this is an exceptional piece (and vividly inexpensive for what it is).
