Rare, excellent condition, all solid-carved Eastman archtop guitar for sale. I
am the first owner, and this guitar has been played sparingly and is
well maintained. A perfect instrument for jazz, but the tone is equally
wonderful for any sort of acoustic music. I tried many Eastman guitars
(including more expensive models), but ultimately settled on this one because of
the warmth and character of its wood combination (spruce top with
mahogany back and sides). It is really a do-it-all instrument, and
deserves more playing time than it receives.
This particular AR610CE is an early edition of what is currently
available from Eastman, and features Jinho "New Yorker" style tuners, a
single floating Kent Armstrong neck pickup, stealth controls under the
pickguard, and a rosewood tailpiece. The guitar is also very rare due to
the sticker inside the guitar incorrectly indicating it as an AR605CE
(the 605 is the 16" archtop), which adds to its collectors' value.
