Gibson Barney Kessel Custom 1968 Sunburst ~ Hang Tags! ~ Flamed Maple ~ Original Case

Here is an amazing 1968 Gibson Barney Kessel Custom. This BK Custom features a Highly Flamed and Attractive Maple Top, Double Cutaway Archtop Construction, Gold Hardware, Bow Tie Fingerboard Inlays, and Two Patent Number Humbucking Pickups. To top it off the guitar comes with its Original Black Hardshell Case and both Gibson Hang Tags with the "Barney Kessel Custom" stamped designation. The guitar does not have an Orange Label and appears to have never had one. Instead, the matching headstock serial number is factory stamped inside the bass side f-hole. Very Good vintage condition displaying play wear with finish checking. Some typical stress lines at the jack have been pro repaired. One tuner had failed for the original owner in the 1970s and he replaced the tuner resulting in two extra screw mounting holes. We had an original waffle back tuner that we have installed and touched up the two holes. The pickups are factory wired out of phase in the middle position which is consistent with other mid 1960s Barney Kessel Customs we have had in recent years.
