Please read the following carefully before buying this awesome piece of synth history.
You already know the Sidstation is Elektron’s first synth, is powered by a real Commodore 64 chip, and is very rare.
My unit is in great shape- clean graphics, bright screen, no big scratches, etc. It does not come with the manual or power supply, but replacements are easy to find.
Now the technical stuff: My Sidstation used to work perfectly. When I dug it out recently, all the lights lit up but there were black boxes across the screen and it didn’t boot up. Digging on the Web, I identified what the problem could be and replaced the NVRAM chip, which is the battery. (I can supply the receipt and even the old chip if you want) Now, when I turn it on, and leave it on for a few minutes, it will go to the boot screen but still not as fast as it should. It can load a patch bank and play sounds. Also, all Sidstations are noisy, but I’m not sure if something is causing extra noise?
I've tried to describe this as accurately and honestly as possible, but based on the above, I’m selling my Sidstation AS IS, NO REFUNDS, RETURNS, ETC.
See the video of me running through a couple patches (please note, video was made before she got a good clean up)
