The new Fender H.E.R. Stratocaster in Chrome Glow has landed and it is about as cool as it gets! I had to ask who H.E.R. was too and once I ended up on some of her youtube videos I was genuinely impressed! Hopefully, this great new artist will inspire many more players to pick up the guitar, especially girls!
The color is this guitar is quite striking. It's called Chrome Glow and it most definitely both those things. The Chrome finish looks super cool as-is but somehow Fender made it have an actual aura. A complete rainbow presents itself on the edges and contours of the guitar. It's insanely cool and something I would expect to see on a Custom Shop model, not a made in Mexico Signature! Just goes to show you that Fender means business these days, no matter the price-point!
An ultra-comfortable Mid 60's C Shaped Neck is made from and is tinted for a slightly aged look. The fingerboard has a and twenty installed in it. The neck feels great on the back, never tacky or sticky, thanks to a Satin Urethane finish. and provide the classic Fender feel we all know and love.
Vintage Noiseless pickups keep finding their way into more signature model guitar! A staple in the Eric Clapton model for a couple of decades now, these pickups are fantastic. They offer 60-cycle free operation which makes them ideal for live scenarios or for those who like to play with gain and distortion. In the studio, these pickups are an indispensable tool, making getting a great signal-to-noise ratio easier than it's ever been. These wonderful single-coil pickups can are decidedly Fender Sounding, just without the noise!
From the Fender Website... "Dynamic R&B performer H.E.R. has wooed audiences and earned Grammys with her powerful performances and emotional songs – her smooth rhythms and slow-burning solos always at the forefront.
The H.E.R. Stratocaster makes a statement as bold as the artist who inspired it. Finished in dazzling Chrome Glow and featuring a mid-‘60s “C” shape maple neck, Vintage Noiseless™ pickups, and an anodized aluminum pickguard, this guitar delivers effortless playability, classic Strat® tone, and extraordinary good looks."
