Vox V816 Distortion Booster Fuzz 1965
One of the earliest British fuzz boxes, dating from 1965.
It was part of a series of effects units produced by Vox that plug straight into the amp with no control over either volume or fuzz.
The basic circuit design is very similar to that of the Mk-1.5 Tonebender/Fuzz Face but with less saturation and a looser feel.
It's missing one screw and had a couple of wires resoldered, but other than that it's all original.
Please be aware that these are finicky little things, the switch is a bit temperamental and the signal might cut in or out when touching the switch or by looking at it the wrong way.
A true collectors piece.
