About This Listing

MCI was a company out of Waco,Texas who took Japanese hollowbody electrics (like this lawsuit-era Ventura Barney Kessel) and installed organ electronics INSIDE the body and up the neck.

All the labeled switches work. The frets all react to string contact and trigger as they should, which is a miracle considering the amount of wiring this thing has inside of it. However, the organ tones produced sound distorted compared to other Guitorgans. Minor blemishes are to be expected being a 60 year old instrument.

MCI M300 Guitorgan (Guitar Organ). This is a rare and vintage guitar from the late 1960s, still works and sounds awesome! Features two output jacks on the body, one for organ, another for regular guitar tones. Different from many other Guitorgans, this particular unit has a hardwired power chord coming from the body instead of the external power source and volume pedal. A power switch is utilized below the tone knobs to turn the organ component on or off. A great one to add to any collection of rare and unique instruments. Comes with hardshell case.

Most functions work relatively well. Guitar portion works, but I believe an issue with the pickup selector prevents the bridge pickup from working. The organ function works, frets could use a thorough cleaning for better contact. This is a fantastic guitar in and of itself, but the organ features are so cool. You can really do so much with this thing! Finish and wood quality are amazing. Comes with hardshell case.
