About This Listing

  • A vintage rarity. The stratocaster of basses. Made in a w-german manufacture. They wrote in their catalouge back in the day, that it has as colourful sounds as the rainbow. So you don't need to buy 3 or 4 instruments, you need just buy this ONE. It had originally 2 single J pu. and a third one a split coil with a nice cover by the neck. When i got this beauty the pu. was missed from the middle position. So I tryed to find an original but i am failed, so i moved the bridge pu in the middle position and put in a sterling mm-style pu to the bridge position with a local luthier. Now i think it's really great as the look, as the sounds. Everything works perfectly on it. There's a pu changer with 6 positions, a balance on/off switch, and a balance mixer, plus a master tone, and volume knobs. All parts are original expect the mentioned pu, the balance switch, and the volume knob. The body probably made from mahagony, but i am not sure. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays.20 frets. It is 4,6 kg. Keys are working perfectly, holds the tune. It has some scratch and bounce, but does not touch the playability. I think it's could be a perfect studio instument for more decades, but i am just not the musician to take the advantage of it. The hardcase is missing too. So just the local pick up. Thanks for read it.
