PLEASE READ EVERYTHING: First off, I should say that this guitar should go to somebody who either can work on guitars or knows someone who can. It’s totally functional, but the buyer might need to make adjustments to suit their personal tastes - especially in regard to intonation. I had my luthier string the guitar with Ernie Ball Slinky 9's and then set the action extremely low, and as a result there is some buzzing which can be remedied with a more accommodating setup. I don’t accept returns so please be sure to ask questions before purchasing.
Specs:
This listing is for a Warmoth Thinline Telecaster with a semi-hollow ash body and Fender Wide-Range humbuckers.
To the best of my knowledge the electronics are all Fender, but I can’t verify that claim. I also don’t want to remove the pickguard to explore, so please don’t purchase the guitar if you demand certain specs that cannot be confirmed by the photos alone.
4-way toggle switch on pickup selector, but the 1st and 2nd position both currently select the bridge.
Warmoth, Gibson-scale (24.75”) neck. Modern C profile with medium jumbo frets (without any noticeable wear), 10/16 radius, 1 5/8” nut, flame maple neck, nitro gloss finish, Ping tuners, and matching black headstock.
The neck plays extremely quickly and effortlessly.
Also included is a white pearloid Warmoth pickguard and two nickel knobs - one of which is missing a set screw. The black pickguard was not identical to Warmoth specs so it had to be altered to fit the body. As a result, there is a thin strip of pickguard that was removed between the bridge and the saddles (as shown in the photos). One of the black knobs that is currently installed has a silver mark on it to indicate where the number 10 would be marked on a numbered knob. This silver Sharpie mark can be removed.
There are numerous, faint, cosmetic blemishes such as rubbing, pick swirls, and scratches, along with a couple of small chips in the body paint, but nothing too major. The buyer should assume that they'll find a few, minor, superficial imperfections that aren't visible in the photos.
The guitar is currently strung with brand new, unplayed Ernie Ball Slinky 9-42s.
I don’t know the exact weight, but it’s one of the lightest telecasters I’ve ever held.
The tweed Road Runner hardshell case is also included.
As always, the buyer should plan on having the guitar set-up to suit their specific needs.
I’m only selling because I prefer the sound of single coil pickups to humbuckers. I had my luthier work on the guitar for quite a while in expectation that this was going to be my main guitar, but again, I’m just accustomed to single coil pickups, and currently have my whole rig oriented toward their sound.
