About This Listing

This is a Japanese made Kentucky KM-800. Has a serial number of 15499. After consultation with Saga instruments it was dated 1983-1986. Slight imperfections from use, some play wear on the upper frets, but in very good shape. Comes with a tone guard, a US made Souldier strap, and a spare, US made, flat, slotted, ebony, Cumberland Acoustic bridge. Also has a functional K&K pickup with carpenter jack.
Spruce top, Maple back, sides and neck. 1 1/8" Flat Ebony Fretboard and Ebony Bridge. Fretboard is scooped at the Florida extension. Binding on front, back, fretboard, and headstock. It plays really easy, with a nice tone, good volume, and good balance from low to high. Strung with a set of Gibson, Sam Bush, Monel strings. Intones well, and has minimal neck relief.
Has a really nice, glossy, sunburst finish. Two piece maple back, with a nice match, and a good looking flame.
Selling this due to finances, and the fact I have too many mandolins. Nearly new, locking, hard shell case, with two keys. Asking price is $850.00, OBO, plus insured, expedited shipping, and signature confirmation. There are no returns. Make your offers with confidence. I am a motivated seller, and I will consider any and all reasonable offers. Thank you for looking. Packed and ready to ship. It just needs an address to ship to.
