I bought this, and hated the turtle shell pickguard. I have included a photo of the original. I went to the site Skin your skunk and obtained a vinyl adhesive sticker. I picked this one to go with the Irish Ale theme. Their site says it's the kind of sticker they use on boats. It will stay on, but can be removed. I've never removed one, so I cannot comment on how well they come off. If there is residue or if it shatters and comes off in pieces. But the original pickguard is under there. As are the original pickups. The sticker did not change the tone in any way. I used excess sticker on the back because the back cover was a bright white and not a turtle shell. Oh, and because it's call Irish Ale, the Celtic knot cover plate. And the original plate will come with it. The trem bar locks in. There is a small allen key screw on the trem you need to loosen and re-tighten to keep the bar in. The trem is the absolute best. It really beats the Fender trem. After blinging the guitar, it sat. I think I played 5 hours before putting it away. I really like the guitar, but it isn't my go-to guitar. It really is in mint condition. Let me know if you'd like to see a photo of any part that I missed. If you want to make an offer, please do. I also have ABS molded and Tweed cases. Guitars ship better in cases. My experience. It will be insured though.
