This is a very high quality version of the classic Danelectro Longhorn, built in the U.S. out of much improved materials and hardware. This particular bass is shaped just like a vintage Danelectro, and has a Danelectro replacement bridge on it due to issues with the original. It also has the original style Coke-bottle headstock bearing the Jerry Jones logo (some scraping),  and with the word “Neptune” on a stick by the nut that Jones called these models in tribute to the location of the original Dano plant in NJ.. This is an ultra cool, great playing Jerry Jones longhorn bass. It is very light at 6 pounds, 5 oz, so it will keep you rocking all gig long. Jerry Jones guitars and basses are no longer made in the US since his retirement.

This Jerry Jones Neptune Longhorn Bass is a used item in close to excellent condition. There are no major dings, marks or issues with this instrument. No marks or concerns on this gorgeous body profile with only the lightest of pick marks and normal use showing. Finish is a real standout as it jumps off the guitar. The neck is in good shape, with little fret wear showing from normal use. These are the original frets and they have lots of life on them. This bass guitar has experienced a set-up recently using flatwound strings and is ready to go for you.
