About This Listing

A rare brown-panel Super Amp with oxblood grill cloth only featured in 1961! The Super Amp produces 40 watts of power through a pair of 10″ speakers for a loud, full sound with a tight, punchy low end and the ability to break up nicely at reasonable volumes. This amp is in good overall condition with heavier grillcloth wear, an added hole in the back of the chassis and some residue from previously added foam in the inside of the cabinet. All original transformers and circuit with replaced vintage 10″ speakers. An incredible sounding vintage Fender amp with the signature brown-panel harmonic tremolo!

Product Overview
Originally released in the 1948, the Fender Super Amp was the company's first multi-speaker amplifier, originally named the "Dual Professional" before becoming the Super Amp in 1950. In 1960, the Super amp went through a major overhaul both in circuitry and cosmetics. The Brownface-era amps of the early 1960s featured electronics which are essentially the same as Concert Amp, Pro, and Bandmaster but with a tube rectifier.

Note: Pictured amplifier has replacement speakers.
