About This Listing

Talk to any veteran timbalero and they’ll tell you, the Leedy Humberto Morales Model timbales are the best ever made. They were the best that money could buy from the 1940s through the 1960s. This pair is has been expertly restored to "near new" condition. Starting with the shells, they were buffed to the original brass shine and lacquered exactly like the originals. All the hardware was highly polished. The original metal flesh hoops for the heads have been covered with new hand tucked calf heads. Includes the original stand. They're  almost like the day they were unboxed in 1950. Look closely in the photos and you'll see some tiny scratches and minuscule dings, but nothing that will get get in the way of these timbales looking and sounding amazing.
