Technics SL-7 Quartz Controlled, Direct-Drive, Gimbal Suspended Linear-Tracking Tonearm, Fully-Automatic Turntable System (1981-1983)

Includes Ortofon TM14 cartridge with new LP Gear elliptical stylus. The Ortofon TM14 was designed specifically for the SL-7, SL-10, and SL-15 series. Ohm-meter DC resistance (output impedance) checked at L/R: 740/740Ω - 100% channel level match.

Just put the record on and press start!  A heavy, solid player the size of a record jacket, weighing in at a hefty 15.75 pounds.

The condition is overall very good, with minimal light scuffs and scratches on the body and dust cover. Note the area illustrated in the last photo.

Do NOT buy one of these tables unless it has been serviced, or you plan to service it yourself! The original petroleum lubricant is almost always a thick, goopy mess, and the arm drive belt is almost always loose, stretched out, dry and brittle. Frequently, the arm-drive motor is locked up.

This one has been disassembled, cleaned out of all old grease and lubricants, and re-lubed. The worm and cog gearing has been inspected, cleaned, and re-lubed. It wears a new drive belt for the tonearm. The synthetic lube and new belt should last decades.

The dustcover tabs and latches are all in perfect condition - very hard to find on this model!

The original spring and rubber feet are in good condition.
