Sounds are produced by a specialist Ensoniq's hardware, this is not a modelling synth (which is basically nothing more than a computer plug-in shaped as a hardware synth with physical controllers and a typical for virtual instruments annoying 'high pitched whine' (for the lack of better description), nor a dsp synth either. It also has a wonderful programmable arpeggiator and of course unlimited modulation possibilities. This synth is best for experimental, industrial or noise musician. And yes, knobs can be cleaned, if desired, from a visible on photos 'time-n-use dust', I just haven't bothered to do it. If you buy the synth, just let me know and I'll clean 'em for you, before shipping.
