Hoops:

The Sakae attention to detail and drive to achieve perfection has led to the development of the Mighty Halo hoop: the top edge of the hoop faces inwards, creating harmonics that are highly controlled to deliver a powerful snare sound.

Diecast Lugs:

Strengthened, shaved-out metal for faster sound transmission from top to bottom for a sharp sound.

Strainer

Extremely sensitive and accurate, the exact tension of the mechanism can be easily adjusted to precisely the desired level.

Snare Wires:

Thick Ultra Hi-Carbon wire, harder and using more carbon than regular hi-carbon wires for a quicker, sharper response.

Sakae Osaka Heritage produces only a limited number of drums each year. Aimed at professional musicians and musicians who want to be professional, we focus on producing our

What does attention to detail mean for us? It involves everything from the choice of wood to the shell designs, the type of laminate, the number of plies, the type of glue, the assembly process, the painting, the finishing and most importantly the balance of how all these and many other elements are combined in the final product. And we take the time to blend these various elements into the best possible final product.

Each drum takes a long time to manufacture and assemble to the standards that we expect. We are building on generations of Japanese artisanal manufacturing techniques and understanding, we know that good results don’t come in a rush.
