Fender Custom Shop '58 Reissue Stratocaster Hard Tail. This gorgeous
sunburst instrument was a custom order built during the late
'90's period of the Fender Custom Shop (Circa February 1998). The
custom shop guitars from this era are well known for their quality and
craftsmanship.
There is a ding on the edge of the neck socket of the body on the treble side. It has been repaired and colored over but, on close inspection, it is visible. I have included a close-up photo of the area. This is the only reason I am not describing condition as excellent. Other than this spot, there is only minimal
surface swirling, a small impression on the lower bout and light finish lines from
normal play and cleaning.
This guitar has a beautiful birds eye maple neck, fretboard
and headstock. It features period correct late '50's C-shaped (chunky)
neck, vintage Kluson style tuners, and a rare fixed bridge (hard tail).
There is virtually no fret wear. The feel and tone are pure vintage
and the sustain of this guitar is remarkable. Recently professionally set up. Just restrung with Rotosound Blue (10-52)
Includes C.O.A., all
original case candy, vintage style bridge cover (unused), cord and
vintage style strap (unused) It will be carefully packed shipped UPS
insured with the original tan vintage style hard case which is
also in excellent condition.
