Magnatone Varsity Reverb "Low Output" SRV Option JJ Retube(TM) Kit with EL844's

Stevie played his amps cranked and preferred a little cleaner sound from the front end allowing you to hear more power tube breakup. Well, this works really well with the Magnatone amps too! This is our Low Output SRV Option Retube Kit for the Magnatone Varsity Reverb Combo Amp. It contains a premium matched pair of JJ EL844's for power to drop the overall output a couple decibels, a JJ GZ34 rectifier tube, an ECC83S for V1, a JJ ECC832 for the verb and a current balanced ECC83S for the phase inverter in V3.

This Retube Kit is plug and play with no bias worries. The EL844 is a completely different tube than the stock tube your amp came with. The JJ EL844's are a proprietary tube that JJ Electronic built at the request of Eurotubes.

The dissipation of the JJ EL844 is 25% less than a standard EL84 so using the EL844 will reduce the power a little in your amp.

Unlike other tube venders who charge for low noise tubes, all our tubes meet rigorous tests for low noise, microphonics and nine additional tests.
