About This Listing

Freaking amazing guitar. And a rare piece of history. Truthfully I should just hold on to this guitar as it might just be the best investment instrument I own considering how rare and sought after these are.

Just have too many guitars now. And I don’t like having guitars that don’t get played enough.

This guitar needed a home and some work when I got it.

Freaking DIALED NOW.

So even though I wasn’t looking I had to grab it when I met the owner.

Made by the Larson Brothers.  It was just too cool to pass up. It had some issues.  I had Geoff at SF Guitarworks completely dial it in. They are the best around here. Plek machine and the whole nine yards. There are some dings of course.  But it plays perfect now. Low action.  They had to make a new bridge and bone saddle (originals are included)  The choice I made was to actually have them make a compensated saddle so it plays IN TUNE rather than the “historically accurate” straight.

It also comes with a certificate from Gruhn guitars identifying it and appraising in 2007.  12 fret slot. Mahogany neck, spruce top(I assume Adirondack), mahogany back and sides, ebony fingerboard.

SF guitarworks said it didn't appear to be refinished but there is definitely some overspray as you can see.

There is one "dead" note on the high E string on the 12th fret.  The luthier said it could be fixed with some more work.  I show it in the video.  The frets are in great condition as I hope the pictures show.  Plenty to work with.

I have tons of pictures I can send of course.  I don't really have an exact need for this guitar as its a bit redundant in my collection so I'm reluctantly figuring I should sell it.

I work at a very respected and well known music store that deals in a LOT of vintage gear. I can ship the guitar in official and spectacular shipping from Gibson or Martin etc. We have shipped thousands of guitars.  I am EXTREMELY easy to find online to show that I am a real human that loves guitars!  And some of the most active buyers and sellers on here know me.  Perfect ratings on eBay and Reverb etc.

Thanks and let me know if you have any questions!

It is a spectacular instrument and SUPER rare as you know.  Definitely a piece of art and history. Tons more pix available of course.
