Superscope Marantz Tape Recorder! - 1970’s Sounds Amazing! - Includes Original Superscope Condenser Mic! -

This one sounds particularly awesome! All original Superscope by Marantz tape recorder with the original auxiliary Superscope condenser mic! It has an onboard condenser mic as well and all the ins and outs you need to bounce back and forth between your digital setup, it sounds absolutely awesome.

It tracks beautifully and cleanly with both the onboard mic and an auxiliary mic. I make demos with these old Superscope boom boxes by sitting in front of them with an acoustic guitar, and the sound that comes back sounds like a finished product with tons of character when you get a good take. The tape sounds super good, a good take basically sounds mixed right away with tons of natural compression and harmonics that you get with the tape and the nice Marantz circuitry. I run a line out straight from guitar pedals on these, play along to my the track, then send the tape back into the track through the interface. It’s super amazing on synths like that as well. The synths interact with the natural tape harmonics in really cool and unpredictable ways, it’s a really cool studio tool. I’ve also just popped one of these in a corner at band practice and you get a shockingly clear and rad sounding performance.

This one is super clean, it looks basically brand new even though it’s over 40 years old. There’s zero corrosion in the battery compartment, it most likely never had batteries in it. It comes with the original power cord, and I’ve paired it up with this awesome Superscope condenser mic! The mic sounds super rad, amazing on acoustic guitar. It will work with any mic, I recorded using a SM57 with an 1/8 adapter as well. You can line in an entire mixer with an 1/8 cable for a tape mix down. Comes with the original Superscope AC cable and I’ll include a few different types of tapes for you to experiment with. Awesome machine!
