Infinite Response VAX77

Up for grabs is one Infinite Response VAX77 (Revision 2) folding keyboard.

This is an extremely rare and ultra high end MIDI controller (less than 2000 were produced, as far as I know), even more so with the original box and airplane carrying case. This unit maybe has 4-6 hours of use on it, and has been sitting in a clean and controlled environment inside my home office. It has never been taken on the road or used for any kind of live performance. It is in absolutely immaculate condition. There are no scratches, dings, dents, or smudges anywhere on the keyboard. All buttons, rotary encoders, and keys function perfectly. There are no signs of wear anywhere on the unit.

This is the only MIDI keyboard ever produced in the entire world that folds in half and has polyphonic aftertouch. I believe the Yamaha CS-80 is roughly equivalent to this unit in terms of the PolyAT, however that was a full fledged synthesizer, whereas this is simply a high-end MIDI controller. Nevertheless, you can get some really amazing expression out of this board running any software instrument that supports the advanced features (Pianoteq, Spectrasonics Omnisphere & Trillian, etc). If your software doesn't support the full capabilities of this keyboard, no worry- it does standard MIDI as well, and is compatible with just about every operating system that supports a MIDI USB device (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, etc).

Keyboard is highly configurable through the built-in colour touch screen. You can also use the touch screen to control various features of Mainstage and other DAWs when performing live. The original software for the unit (firmware updater and "Patch Librarian") is included on the CD that came in the box. All cables and packaging materials are also included, as well as the airplane carrying case (which was shipped separately, even though it came with the keyboard).

These units are no longer being manufactured by IR. I have been assured that they have plenty of spare parts to repair this unit, should the need ever arise. This is your chance to own one of the rarest and neatest MIDI keyboards ever produced. It is unlikely you will ever see another one of these for sale in this condition again.
