About This Listing
Extremely rare left handed Fender Japan Custom Edition model that is 100% original and includes a super rare Vintage Fender Japan hard shell case with green interior. Only a handful (perhaps just several) of these rare left handed Custom Edition models were ever made. The Fender Japan Custom Edition team built guitars during the mid 1980's to mid 1990's that are one-off custom orders that were very high quality and their equivalent to the USA Custom Shop. They are nearly impossible to find left handed.
This guitar has an incredibly rare 100% nitrocellulose lacquer finish with natural players wear and light lacquer checking. The sunburst finish has some finish wear as shown and some buckle rash on back. All of the players wear is 100% organic and natural.
Both pickups have cloth wires and are high very quality, and the electronics have all original solder joints. They are fully working and in perfect playing condition, making this guitar perfect for playing and collection.
7.25" Indian rosewood fretboard radius, vintage frets, bone nut width of 42.4mm (1.67"), 60's C oval profile, .82" at first fret / .9" at 12th fret maple shaft thickness, 2-piece top shelf Ash body, and all nitro finish.
This guitar is rare as can be, and fortunately it is very light at just 7.4 lb, and is fully original. It blows away every other guitar I have seen out of Fender Japan. These custom edition guitars are a class of their own and are truly gems that are getting increasingly difficult to find.
This guitar will be securely packed and shipped with fast same day handling.

LeftysGuitars was more than fair for the price of the guitar I purchased from them. It arrived promptly, and included tons of extras which were never mentioned before the purchase. They included a fender tuner, an extra pack of strings, some picks, an amp cable and more—all free. The people at Leftysguitars are a class act and marked by generosity. Please consider making your purchase from them. 👍🏻

Fabulous guitar. Well made & a nice sound to it. Seller was nice and helpful. I’ll be back for something else at some point! Recommended!!
Thanks for the guitar. Very happy note that I have it!🎙😎🎸🤙🏼
Ahead of schedule delivery intact. This excellent specimen of a 1998 cij67/68 Hendrix natural ash body guitar was described physically on spot. Hearing and feeling are hard to convey online. Love the small-dimensioned neck still retaining nice resonance. It's a keeper before and after the amp is on. Way to go with providing near new case and it's candy, on top of it all, a wall hanger, wow. Thanks Leftys!

The first era of Fender Japan began in 1982, when domestic market Japanese Fenders started rolling out of factories. While Fender Japan is popularly known for some of their more extravagant aesthetics, the bulk of domestic Japanese production was focused on reissues of historic American Fender models. These reissue models were labeled by a two letter/two number model code for the model and reissue year, followed by a suffix that indicated the price in Yen, and any unique specifications the model had. While a given model might come in a variety of price points during a given model year, from entry level to the near Custom Shop quality of Fender Japan's ExTrad series, all the models would broadly follow the aesthetic and technical specifications of the original American models. Reissue models would follow this naming convention until 2015, when Fender Japan revamped their product line to more closely mirror the organizational structure of the Mexican and American made Fender lines. Models on this page represent the 1982 - 2015 era of Fender Japan production, and typically feature the old style Fender Japan serial number at the base of the neck, as opposed to the contemporary "JD-" serial number format found on the back of the headstock. The original model codes (and frequently the value suffix) can usually be found in the neck pocket of the body, and at the base of the neck where the mounting holes are.
