This guitar has some dents and dings here or there. Tried to capture in the photos. Nothing egregious, but some minor bumps here or there and some buckle rash. Absolutely a monster of a player. This guitar was 100% built to my specifications and just RIPS with high gain and is still crystal clear with some cleans.
Sad to let this 1 of 1 guitar go but i've got to pay for a lot of medical bills that've come up.
You can also watch the build process of this guitar by checking the Dood Craft Guitars YouTube channel if that interests you.
This guitar was sold at one point and found to have several issues as per The Guitar Sanctuary luthier in McKinney, Texas. Thus it's been discounted deeply and the guitar history listed below for utmost transparency. The issues described I didn't notice or don't seem to bother me but i'm also no guitar tech.
"There’s a crack in the neck upper right bolt eyelet.
The frets are crooked/bent and incorrect for multi scale frets. And as a result the fretboard should be replaced.
The nut is incorrectly cut and should be replaced.
The truss rod is stripped and unusable and full of metal shrapnel.
It was evaluated at The Guitar Sanctuary in McKinney, Tx."
I'll note that this guitar was setup locally by Highlands Ranch Guitar Repair here in Colorado before shipping out originally and none of these were noted to me or brought up as a concern.
James at Dood Craft guitars has quoted me that he could build a replacement neck for $900. Personally, I feel like the guitar plays fine but I did want to be transparent that this item was returned by the customer and Reverb for the above issues.
