The sipsi (pronounced [sip'si]) is a clarinet-like, single reed instrument used mainly in folk music and native to the Aegean region of Greece and Turkey. In ancient Greece, it was known as kalamavlos (καλάμαυλος). A very portable instrument the sipsi is only around 19 cm (7.5 inches).
