This is a gorgeous vintage Alvarez Denver Belle with was the top of the line for Alvarez.
Japan, in the 1970’s and 1980’s was striving to outdo the American music manufacturers and did an exceptional job at that. This banjo was the top of the line for Alvarez and not only is an exceptional banjo is also a work of art.
This has a thick maple rim with a brazilian rosewood resonator. The hardware is nickel. This has a mahogany neck with a brazilian rosewood fretboard. The fretboard has a Flying Eagle inlay pattern. There is black and checkerboard binding on each side of the neck. This looks incredible. The resonator has abalone inlay on each side on top of a strip of abalone on the back.
