When being used for the first time in a while, this pedal's pot is generally prone to making a bit of crackling noise, but this typically goes away after a bit of use or a quick spray of compressed air. The pedal has some minor scuffs throughout the enclosure and footplate. The taper switch functions as intended, providing two different swell rates. The pedal takes a 9V battery, and is intended for passive signals. Above the output jack, this pedal has a tuner output. The bottom of the pedal has two strips of dual lock velcro on each end. There is a strip of green tape with Sergio's name on the bottom of the pedal. Overall, this is a solid pedal for controlling volume or playing swells, with a smooth-yet-sturdy roll-off. Players should keep in mind that the pedal uses a cloth string pulley mechanism, which is prone to snapping over time. If breaking occurs, this part can be replaced. The current string appears to have a good amount of life left in it.
