Rare Original and Complete Vintage Silvertone 1487 Electric Guitar

Here’s a Rare Original and Complete Vintage ‘64-’65 Silvertone 1487 Electric Guitar with a built in amp and speaker. This is the same guitar that Teisco made that was their model TRE-100

This one has been tucked away for awhile, and now it’s time to let it go. This has one of the very desirable Gold Foil SS Pickups. Plugged into my old tube amp, the pickup screams and has a powerful sound, with the volume and tone controls all working properly.
I’m not sure what’s happening with the built in amp and speaker. There's some static coming out of the built in speaker when I plug a 9 volt battery into it, but the amp isn’t putting out like it should. I’m not sure if the amp can be fixed, so it is being sold as is.
 
The action is very smooth on every note, from one end of the neck to the other. The adjustable neck is straight, and the frets are in excellent shape with lots of life left in them.

The body and neck are solid with no breaks, cracks, or repairs. The finish is looking very nice, without a lot of the typical marks that you would expect to see on a guitar this old. There's a scuff on the bottom edge, a few scratches on the back, along with a few dings, but nothing major.

This will be shipped in a gig bag. The bag is nothing special, so it wasn’t included in the photos.

Shipping is UPS or Fed-Ex, but we sometimes will ship Priority Mail for faster delivery depending on its destination. I am not shipping internationally at this time, and can only ship to addresses within the US.
