Highly recommended for all bassists from jazz and motown to rock and heavy metal because of its Alder body and Hipshot bridge which give the bass tons of sustain. It has Quarter Pounder pickups with a split single coil Precision bass style pickup on the neck side for a rounder voice and a Jazz bass style single coil pickup on the bridge side for serious growl. This combination works well with distortion and overdrive effects. The bass has a warm and pronounced midrange tone that also complements the Quarter Pounder pickups. The design and looks of the instrument are second to none. It sounds and plays amazing and it is in excellent condition. There are no cracks on the body or holes anywhere and the neck is new. The neck is thicker than the typical Jazz bass necks. The thickness of this neck plays like a Precision bass neck. This also gives the bass a deep tone. The frets are in perfect shape. Please see pictures. The body has some scratches but they are not bad and it does not take away from the beauty of the instrument. It comes with a free used Fender Rumble 25 amplifier (if you are willing to pick it up, I will not ship it). Please note, I am willing to meet partway within 30 miles from where I live to deliver the bass if necessary. In closing, the awesomeness of this bass is the incredible preamp, the amazing neck and the contrast between the killer black with the maple neck.
