Rick Kelly circa 2000 guitar. I bought it in 2012 from Joe’s Music in Michigan. It originally belonged to Jackson Smith and was on consignment there.
I would bet this type of guitar build with ash body and shiny paint is now more rare than his Bowery Pine models that sell for $5K new. He now builds Bowery Pine style guitars for which he became known worldwide. Check out the movie Carmine Street Guitars to learn more.
It has lots of scrapes and scars from gigs. You will not find another Rick Kelly guitar with these features. Look carefully at the pictures before buying. Both the body and neck have bumps and bruises. Pots are a small bit scratchy. It plays and sounds awesome.
