We just received a few very cool old Gibson instruments. This is a 1974 or 1975 Gibson L-9S "The Ripper" Bass. This may be hard to believe..... but I just opened the shipping box to take these pictures. I am basing the year from the packing list that was still on the box.
A picture of the bass inside the case is posted. This is the sealed plastic to a cardboard backer that was inside the shipping box.
I have this listed as mint condition because it is a New Old Stock instrument. But it does have some rust on some of the hardware. This is shown in one of the pictures. I have not done anything to this yet. These parts (washers, nuts) should be easy to replace.
It will ship in the original box.
